Engineered as a winter option for everyday driving, the Fulda Kristall Control HP 2 22545R17 94V measures 225 mm across with a 45% aspect ratio, fitting 17-inch wheels.
With a 94 load index (up to 670 kg / 1477 lbs) and a V speed rating (up to 240 km/h / 149 mph), this tire falls into the C1 class, aimed at drivers looking for solid performance without a premium price tag.
No rim protection is built in here, meaning the wheel edge isn’t specifically shielded from curb contact. It does not offer run-flat capability, meaning a puncture will require a stop rather than continued driving. The construction is reinforced for higher load capacity — check your vehicle registration documents to see if this is required for your car.
It’s suited to muddy and snowy surfaces and has been tested for winter performance.
On the EU tire label, it scores a C in fuel efficiency, C in wet grip, and B in rolling noise, with a measured noise level of 72 dB — neither notably quiet nor loud.
As useful as the EU label is, it doesn’t cover every factor — things like dry-weather grip, aquaplaning resistance, and tread wear fall outside the official scoring.
